Table of Contents Concepts Page Layout
Page Layout
Page Layout is the name PDF2XL uses to describe the definition of data areas in a page, that is, the parts of a page in which data to be extracted can be found.
In PDF2XL, the user can define table data areas or field data areas. The difference between the two is that the table data area is divided into cells by columns and rows, and the field data area is a single entity.
The user can use the same layout to all the document pages - if the pages are similar - or can use the Multiple Page Layouts mode to define a different layout for each page.
When converting the data into an external format, such as Excel or Word, the data from each table area is converted into a table; when converting into Excel, it is possible to set PDF2XL to convert each table into its own Excel sheet, or convert them all into a single sheet, one after the other. The data from the field areas can be added to each table, or can appear once. More information about converting fields can be found in the Fields Conversion help topic.
Information about marking and adjusting tables can be found starting from the Marking the Table Area topic; information about creating and using fields can be found starting from Field Selection topic.
