Table of Contents Operations Converting the Data Basic Excel Conversions

Basic Excel conversions

To perform the conversion you can use the Covert Button . Pressing this button will convert the selected table and fields into excel (the default).

Pressing the Convert To Excel button on the Convert toolbar will achieve the same result.

You can also select the Excel command from the Convert menu to perform the same function.

Using any of the methods described above will open a new instance of Excel and insert the information from the selected table and fields into the first sheet.

You can also create an excel file without running excel by pressing the Convert To Excel File button on the Convert toolbar or selecting the corresponding menu command. If you select this option, an excel file containing the data will be created in the same folder where the original file resides. The file will have the original file's name with an '.xls' extension. You can also configure PDF2XL to ask you for a file name before writing the excel file (see Filename settings in the Conversion Settings Page).

Note: The Convert button is a Drop Down Button. If you press the arrow on its right, a list of conversion options will be displayed (as shown below). When you select one of the options you will both perform the conversion associated with that option and set the default conversion settings for the convert button.
