Customization Overview
The application uses a highly advanced customization scheme for menus and toolbars. Each of the menu items can be added to the toolbars and via versa; you can easily distinguish the toolbar commands in the menu as they display the toolbar icon next to the command name.
Each toolbar (including the menu bar) can be dragged to a new location: docked to any of the application's main window sides, or floating above the application. In order to drag a docked toolbar, the user can move the mouse over the bar's dragging handle:
and press the mouse button to drag it. The toolbar can then be dropped on any of the application sides, in which case it will be docked there, or at any other location, in which case it will be floating:
Dragging a floating toolbar is easily done by dragging its caption bar.
Additionally, a floating toolbar can be docked by double-clicking the title, and a docked toolbar can be floated immediately by double-clicking the drag handle.
The user can even move menu items and toolbar items around, create new toolbars and populate them with commands, and remove unwanted commands from your display.
Each of the menu and toolbar items can be renamed, set to display a different image, or can even be set to display just the image (like a toolbar button), just the text, or both (like most menu items).
This is done using the Customization Context Menu which is available when right-clicking on a toolbar button or menu command when in Customization Mode.
The regular way of customizing the menus and toolbars is using the Customize dialog. Additionally, the toolbars can be customized via the Quick Customization method.
