Website Upgrade Process

To use the website upgrade for PDF2XL, follow this process:

1. Purchase an upgrade

You can purchase an upgrade from Cogniview's website.
After the purchase, you will receive an Upgrade Payment Code in the confirmation e-mail, and it is also available in the page displayed after the purchase.

2. Open PDF2XL

Run the application (if it is not already running).

3. Run the Upgrade Wizard

The select the Upgrade command from the Help menu. The Upgrade Wizard will start:

Select the second option (I bought an upgrade and have the Upgrade Payment Code) and press <Next>.

4. Enter the Payment details

Fill in the Upgrade Payment Code and the E-Mail used to purchase the upgrade in the Upgrade details page:

Press <Next>.

5. Select Website Upgrade Method

In the Upgrade Method Page:

Select the 'No' option and press <Next>

And in the Upgrade Offline Method Page:

Select the 'Cogniview's Website' option and press the <Next> button.

6. Retrieve the Upgrade details

Your default browser will open and display a page created by the Upgrade Wizard:

This page will automatically re-direct the browser to Cogniview's Website to perform the upgrade; if it does not automatically redirect, you will need to click on the <Click Here> button on the page.
The page in the browser will now display the upgrade confirmation and instructions about where to download the upgraded product installation from.

Note that an Upgrade Confirmation e-mail will be sent to you automatically from Cogniview upon a successful upgrade, containing the download details, so even if you close the Upgrade Wizard without downloading the installation, you will have the instructions available.

6. Download the upgrade and Finish

Click on the download link from the upgrade confirmation web page to download the upgraded product installation, and return the Upgrade Wizard. The Offline Upgrade Finish page will be displayed:

Click on the <Finish> button to close the Wizard. After the download is finished, close the PDF2XL application, run the installation, and follow the instructions on the screen.

If the Website Upgrade fails for any reason, you will see an error page instead of the upgrade confirmation page.
In such a case, you can try to use the Online Upgrade Process or the Manual Upgrade Process instead.
