Online Upgrade Process
To upgrade PDF2XL online, use the following steps:
You can purchase an upgrade from Cogniview's website.
After the purchase, you will receive an Upgrade Payment Code in the confirmation e-mail, and it is also available in the page displayed after the purchase.
Run the application (if it is not already running).
The select the Upgrade command from the Help menu. The Upgrade Wizard will start:
Select the second option (I bought an upgrade and have the Upgrade Payment Code) and press <Next>.
Fill in the Upgrade Payment Code and the E-Mail used to purchase the upgrade in the Upgrade details page:
Press <Next>.
Select the 'Yes' option in the Upgrade Method Page:
And press <Next>
The Online Upgrade Page will be displayed:
The Upgrade Wizard will communicate with Cogniview's Upgrade Server, and when the data transfer is finished, either the Select Upgrade Page or the Upgraded Online Page will be displayed.
If you have purchased upgrades for more then one product in the same purchase, you may be asked to select to which product you wish to upgrade. If that is the case, go to Step 7; otherwise, the wizard will skip directly to the finish page.
This is an optional step, which will only occur if the upgrade purchase contains more then one upgrade matching PDF2XL:
Select the upgrade you wish to perform and press <Next>
After the Upgrade request has been sent to the server and has been approved, the Upgrade Wizard will display the Upgraded Online page:
You should click on the download link to start downloading the upgraded product's installation, and click on the <Finish> button to close PDF2XL.
Note that an Upgrade Confirmation e-mail will be sent to you automatically from Cogniview upon a successful upgrade, containing the download details, so even if you close the Upgrade Wizard without downloading the installation, you will have the instructions available.
When the download of the installation has been finished, run it and follow the instruction on the screen.
However, if the Online Upgrade fails for any reason, the following page will be displayed:
In such a case, you can try to use the Website Upgrade Process or the Manual Upgrade Process instead. Clicking on the <Next> button will automatically start the Website Upgrade Process at the Opening the Website stage, using the details provided above.
