Upgrade Overview

PDF2XL can be updated to the current version of PDF2XL.

The upgrading process, after purchasing an upgrade, is somewhat like the activation process.
When you purchase an upgrade, you will receive an Upgrade Payment Code. This code is used for upgrading purposes only: you will continue to use the original Payment Code for activating the new product (or new version).

The Payment Code is found in the upgrade purchase confirmation E-Mail or fax you received from Cogniview after you have purchased an upgrade. You can find it by searching for the words "payment code" in the email/fax.
It is also available in the post-purchase page that is available after buying the upgrade online.
Note, however, that if you have purchased the upgrade online, the Upgrade Payment Code will only become valid after the payment has been authorized by the online payment company. If you try to upgrade the product before the authorization, you may get the an error and will have to wait a few minutes until the payment is authorized.

After you have purchased the upgrade, you will need to use the Upgrade Wizard to perform the upgrade.

When the wizard is complete, you will be able to download and install the new version or product.

There are several ways in which the Upgrade can be performed: The Online Upgrade (which is the recommended way to upgrade), the Website Upgrade, and the Manual Upgrade.

Note that an Upgrade Confirmation e-mail will be sent to you automatically from Cogniview upon a successful upgrade, containing the download details, so even if you close the Upgrade Wizard without downloading the installation, you will have the instructions available.

Also note that you should not perform the same upgrade twice; after the upgrade is confirmed by Cogniview, any further attempt to upgrade will result in an error.
