Finding Tables Automatically
PDF2XL OCR supports a unique feature that allows the application to analyze one or more pages to try and find the tables in them automatically. This is mostly helpful if you have a large document with lots of different tables.
This operation can be performed on the whole document, or on any range of pages within it. It will result in a layout that marks all the tables found by PDF2XL OCR in each page (in case of Multiple Page layout), or the layout for the whole document created from the current page (if the document has not been set to be in Multiple Page layout).
To perform this operation, select the Automatic Table Detection command. If the document is not in Multiple Layouts mode, the current page will be analyzed and the table or tables marked; if the document is in Multiple Layouts mode, you will be asked for the range of pages to analyze, and PDF2XL OCR will go over them and mark the tables it finds on each.
You can then use the Next Table and Previous Table navigation commands to move between marked tables and fix them if necessary.
After finding the tables, you can proceed to Edit the table layout.
More information about Automatic Table Detection and its options is available here.
