PDF2XL OCR Online Help
Table of Contents User Interface Dialogs File Open
File Open Dialog

This dialog allows you to load PDF files or layout files into PDF2XL OCR. It opens displaying the folder from which the last PDF file was loaded via this dialog.
You can navigate the computer contents and select a PDF file from anywhere in the file system by using the Look In box and the up one folder button. You can also type in a folder's or file's name in the File name box.
If you wish to reload a file that you've loaded recently, you can use the 'recent' page:

Which displays a list of the recently loaded PDF files.
In order to load the file, write its name or select it from the file list, and press on the Open button.
Note that you can also enter a URL of a PDF document on the Internet, and PDF2XL OCR will open it directly.
If you load a layout file while a document file is open, PDF2XL OCR will apply the layout to the document, just like the Open Layout command of the Layout menu. However, if no document is open, PDF2XL OCR will try to locate the file the layout was saved from, load it, and then apply the layout. If this is not successful, PDF2XL OCR will notify you that the original document cannot be found.
The File Open dialog is displayed when you select the Open command from the File menu, the Open button from the standard toolbar, or press the <Control>+O shortcut (by default).
