Word Editing Area
|
This area is composed of two parts: the Word Preview area and the Word Editing area.
Additionally, the [x] button on the top-left corner of the area finishes the validation in the same manner as the Finish button.
The upper half the Word Preview and Editing area shows the scanned document area at which the OCR module identified the word. The original image is magnified so that it will be as easy as possible for you to read.
Additionally, this area contains the Validation Zoom Toolbar, which allows you to control the magnification of the Original and Identified words:
Zoom In
Clicking this button will zoom the Word Preview area to display a larger preview (if possible).
Zoom Out
Clicking this button will zoom out the Word Preview area to display a smaller preview. Note that is will not display data outside of the word area (for that, you can look at the Document View area above).
The lower half of the Word Preview and Editing area show the word identified by the OCR module.
This area also contains the Validation Toolbar:

Which contains the following buttons:
Previously Validated Word
Clicking this button returns to the previously validated word (just like the 'Back' button in a browser).
You can use the <Shift>-<Tab> or <Shift>-<Enter> key combination to perform this function from the keyboard.
Validate Next
Clicking this button OKs the currently validated word, and continues to the next word.
The next word to be validated is selected according to the settings in the OCR Settings Page. If the Validate only suspect words option is checked, the next word will be the next suspect word (marked by a line below it). If it is not checked, the next word selected will be selected according to the Ignore validated words box: if it is checked, the next word will be one that was not already validated; if it isn't checked, the next word in the document will be selected.
If there are no more words to validate (in Text Selection mode, after the last word on the page; in the other modes, after the last word in the last table cell or the last field of the layout), the validation process will automatically be terminated and the application will return to the OCR Mode. Note that if the validation process was triggered by a Conversion request, the conversion process will resume.
You can use the <Tab> or <Enter> key to perform this function from the keyboard.
Finish Validation
Clicking this button will end the validation process and return to the OCR Mode. Note that if the validation process was triggered by a Conversion request, the conversion process will resume.
