Table of Contents Operations Converting the Data Multiple page conversions

Multiple page conversions

Multiple page conversions are very powerful when you want to convert one table that spans a large number of pages (tens, hundreds or above).

This type of conversion will extract the information from multiple pages in one command.

Multiple page conversions works well for reports that were produced by an application. This is because the table location on the page and the location of the columns within the table will not change from page to page.

If the document was produced by a word processing application such as Microsoft Word or Adobe Writer, It is usually not possible to use this technique. In those cases use the techniques outlined in Excel clipboard conversions or in Word Clipboard conversions.

To perform a multiple page conversion, do the following:

  1. Mark the table you want to convert on one of the document pages.
  2. Select the Settings command from the Edit Menu.
  3. On the Conversion Settings Page of the Settings dialog, set the Pages to Convert Option group select either All Pages or Page range (as shown below) and click ok.
  4. Convert the data by using the Convert Button, the Convert toolbar or the appropriate menu command.

Note that when converting multiple page layouts while using the Convert into multiple sheets option, tables with the same name will be converted into the same sheet. If the user haven't set a name to the table, it will be assinged a default name (table 1, table 2, etc.).
