Installing PDF2XL OCR

In order to install PDF2XL OCR, you will need the installation file and run it.

This file is available for download (for both the evaluation and full version), and is also found on the PDF2XL OCR CD (if you have bought the full version on a CD).
All of those have a slightly different way of running the installation; in each case, the installation process will begin:

Installing from a CD

PDF2XL OCR installation should run automatically when you insert the CD into the drive.
If it does not run automatically, perform the following steps:

1. Press the Start button
2. Select 'Run' from the start menu
3. Type in the 'Open' box "X:\PDF2XL-Setup-Full.msi" (without the quotes); replace X with the CD drive letter
4. Press the OK button

Installing the Evaluation Version

1. Download the setup file from http://download.cogniview.com/PDF2XL-OCR-Setup-Eval.msi
2. When the download is finished, select the 'Run' or 'Open' option (depending on the browser used when downloading the file)

Installing the Full Version

1. Download the setup file as directed in the purchase e-mail, saving it to the disk
2. When the download is finished, select the 'Run' or 'Open' option (depending on the browser used when downloading the file)
