Printing to PDF2XL Enterprise

PDF2XL Enterprise application can extract data from printed document. In order to do that, it needs to get the printed material into PDF2XL Enterprise.

Bringing this data into PDF2XL Enterprise is very easy: printing it to the printer named "Cogniview Printer" in any application that supports printing in Windows will immediately send the data into PDF2XL Enterprise.
When the PDF2XL Enterprise application is started, it automatically sets the Cogniview Printer to be the default printer (unless the user has changed this setting in the Conversion Settings Page); this means that the user can run PDF2XL Enterprise and then print from any Windows application, and PDF2XL Enterprise will receive the data. When you close PDF2XL Enterprise, it restores the default printer to the one set before.

This can be done by selecting the "Print..." option usually located in the File menu in your application, and then selecting the "Cogniview Printer" from your list of printers as shown below:

Once the printing is done, the report will open in the PDF2XL Enterprise application which will allow you to extract the data from it.

Note:

If you plan to extract data from multiple reports you should run PDF2XL Enterprise before printing, or consider defining the "Cogniview Printer" as your default printer.
