Field Creation mode

PDF2XL Enterprise supports three selection modes (if the Smart element creation mode is off):

• Table Creation mode
• Field Creation mode
• Text Selection mode

In order to add fields to a Page Layout, the Field Creation mode is used.
In order to enter the Field Creation mode, select the Fields Creation mode option from the Selection Mode Drop Down Button, or select it from the Edit Menu.

When in the Field Creation mode, click-and-drag selection of any area of the document that is not already a part of the Page Layout will result in creation of a new field.

If the Ask for fields name option is set in the Conversion Settings Page, the user will be prompted for the field's heading immediately after the field has been created.
