Managed Mode
Managed Mode is used to provide the full PDF2XL CLI selection and conversion functionality on a single, specific document, using the Command Line Interface's -managed command, along with the -input command (to indicate which document should be opened) and the -format command to specify into which format to convert.

The User Interface when PDF2XL CLI is in Managed Mode is very similar to the interface when in the non-managed mode, except for some commands that are not available and thus will not be displayed on the menus or on the toolbars. Those commands include:
The Convert Menu will also be removed from the Menu Bar, and the Convert Toolbar will not be available while in Managed Mode.
Note that Managed Mode can only be used to convert tables and not text. Additionally, the conversion target is set by the Command Line and cannot be changed by the user.
Managed Mode is mostly used in conjuncture with the autoconvert or autoconvertwarn commands to insure that the user has actually converted data from the document before quitting PDF2XL CLI.
An example of running PDF2XL CLI in Managed Mode from the command line can be viewed in the Command Line Interface Examples.
