Table of Contents Operations Converting the Data Basic Word Conversions

Basic Word conversions

To perform the conversion you can use the Covert Button by selecting the Word option from the button's dropdown menu. Pressing this button will convert the selected data into word and will also set the Convert Button default to Word conversion.

Pressing the Convert To Word button on the Convert toolbar will achieve the same result.

You can also select the Word command from the Convert menu to perform the same function.

Using any of the methods described above will open a new instance of Word and insert the information from the selected table and fields into a new document.

You can also create a Word file without running Word by pressing the Convert To Word File button on the Convert toolbar or selecting the corresponding menu command. If you select this option, a word document containing the data will be created in the same folder where the original file resides. The file will have the original file's name with an '.doc' extension. You can also configure Eudi to ask you for a file name before writing the word file (see Filename settings in the Conversion Settings Page).

Note: The Convert button is a Drop Down Button. If you press the arrow on its right, a list of conversion options will be displayed (as shown below). When you select one of the options you will both perform the conversion associated with that option and set the default conversion settings for the convert button.
