Table Title in Conversion
Table titles are used for two purposes when converting data from documents: to provide a name to the table, and to combine two similar tables.
If you wish to combine data from two tables (for example, a table could be continued in the next page, or a thin table appears more then once in the same page, side by side), Eudi will allow you to do so if you set the tables to have the same title (either in the same page or on different pages).
Setting tables to have the same name will cause the conversion process to add the tables' data into the same table in the output.
You can also combine tables (which will automatically set them to the same name) using the Append to Table command from the Table menu or the table's context menu.
Additionally, you can use the Output settings to combine tables by dragging the name of the table you want to append onto the name of the table you want to append it to.
When you mark a single layout for a document, the tables of the layout are considered similar across the pages and will be combined automatically; i.e., the data from the first converted page's first table will be combined with the second page's first table, and so on (unless the have the same title, in which case they will be combined together just like in the Multiple Page Layouts):
If you have more than one table in the output (either by marking more than one table on a page, or by using Multiple Page Layouts), Eudi will automatically assign a title for each table, unless you provide one yourself.
