Table of Contents Operations Converting the Data Excel Clipboard conversions
Excel Clipboard conversions
Using the clipboard to perform conversions is a powerful way to handle tables that span more than one page. It is also useful when you need to copy several tables from one file into one excel sheet.
To perform Clipboard conversions do the following:
- Select the Clipboard as Excel Sheet
button from the drop-down menu of the Convert Drop Down Button in the Standard Toolbar to store the selected table data in the clipboard.
- Open Excel.
- Select a cell.
- Paste the information (Press Ctrl-V or use the Edit -> Paste command) and the data will be pasted in the Excel (as shown below).

If the table continues on the next page do the following:
- Clear the table layout (see Clearing table layout).
- Mark the table on the second page
- Click the Clipboard as Excel Sheet
button.
- In the Excel Sheet, select the cell just bellow the last line in the first column.
- Paste the information. This will append the information from the second page to the excel table (as shown below)
- Repeat from stage 1 for all the pages that contain the table.

Note: This process is effective when the table spans a relatively small amount of pages. For cases where the table spans many pages (tens, hundreds and more), use the technique outlined in the multiple page conversion topic.
