Table of Contents Concepts Automatic Table Detection
Automatic Table Detection
The Automatic Table Detection operation will find and create a layout for each table in a specific page or range of pages, saving a lot of time spent marking tables. You can then check the created layout and change it if necessary. Note that the current layout of the pages being detected will be deleted.
You can enable the Automatic Table Detection to work in one of three ways, according to the Perform Automatic Table Detection setting in the Advanced settings page. Click on the name of each type for more information about it:
- By user request - this is the default setting, and will run the Automatic Table Detection when you use the
Automatic Table Detection command from the Layout menu. If the document is in Multiple Layout mode, you can then specify the range of pages to analyze.
- When the document is opened - this setting will perform the Automatic Table Detection on the whole document the first time it is opened.
- In background - in this setting, Eudi will perform the page analysis in the background (you will be able to see a small progress indicator in the Status bar when the analysis is performed). When it is finished, Eudi will suggest a table layout whenever you rest the mouse cursor over a location in which a table was found.
