I am seeing some recognition problems in numeric columns. Can I fix that?

Yes, you can greatly improve the OCR accuracy by changing the column format to numeric. PDF2XL OCR will then ask you if you wish to re-perform OCR on the column. If you answer Yes there is a good chance that the recognition accuracy will improve.
