I think that some people vote everything down so that their own stories can get moved up. The feeling being that negatives for others help themselves.

Totally agree on this. It’s very frustrating to see posts that you really have worked on gettin’ down votes and you don’t know why.

I also have a question that someone might know…
A friend of mine recently registered at reddit. I asked that he’s vote on a new post of mine. Before voting the post had 2 up and 2 down. He voted up and the post had 3 up and 3 down. Looked odd so he took the vote back and it said 2 and 2 again. Added it up again and it was 3 and 3 again. Whenever he’d vote it just added on 1 to both up and down. Any idea whats doing on?

Totally agree with this, found this article searching google, becasue of so many down down votes for a perfectly good article, really makes you angry that people are so stupid and self obsessed, oh well.

I completely agree with you. I frequently post on Reddit and find things like my WipEout HD review being down voted before it gets a chance with no justification at all just down votes that effectively bury your story.

At least if you could see if the same people were down voting you could ask them or at least do the same back if their sole reason is they are selfish people who want everything for themselves.
