A Digital Book for a Digital Ghost
DG got a digital book. It seems amazing, and immediatly I wanted one as well. But since I have a track record of buying gadgets and using them once, I’ll wait for DG to use it for a couple of months before I ask my friends (did I ever mention that you are my best friend) to get me one.
If you could, DG, please let us know after a couple of months, if it’s really that great.

I know I haven’t had it a couple of months yet, but I’ve used it long enough to know that I’d buy one if I hadn’t received one as a gift. Now, with that said, here are the caveats:
1. It doesn’t work well with PDFs.
2. The blog list (rss feeds) that can be read with it is seriously dated.
3. The physical interface could be better. (turn the page button is in an awkward spot)
4. It takes about half a second to ‘turn the page’.
5. Gutenberg texts need to be formatted.
But, for reading the Connect eBooks it’s fantastic, and there’s a good list of properly formatted eBooks at Yahoo’s Librie group.
If you like to read and you want books immediately, I recommend it.
Hey DG,
Thanks for the tips.
Sorry for taking so long to respond, I’ve got a bit of the flu again.
