One website can only cover so much, especially with the volume of information and the speed at which technology moves. Whether you are searching for advice on a PDF to Excel converter, news on Microsoft Office products or information about the cloud or data security, these websites have information to help you learn and keep up with the latest advances.

The following ten sites are in no particular order:

1. CNET is a tech media website owned by CBS Interactive. The website publishes news, reviews, articles and a number of blogs and podcasts with a focus on technology and electronics. You don’t have to be a tech expert to understand many of the articles on CNET. As with any news source website, it is constantly being updated.

2. ZdNet is owned by CNET, but it deserves special mention. The site manages about fifty blogs that provide a wealth of information in different areas, including hardware, software reviews and technology law. ZdNet is a terrific resource for white papers.

4. Wired is a print and digital American magazine that has been published since 1993. Wired is owned by Condé Nast. There are several international versions. Wired is a visual delight and is the edgy child of the tech world. The publication credits Canadian philosopher of communication theory, Marshall McLuhan for its inspiration.

This is the magazine for those who thrive on tech news and have a philosophical approach to the digital world. Wired also has a lot of fun features for us nerdy types.
